In this class you build one start to finish at our studio table in Apex. Go lush and tropical or clean and desert-like with succulents and cactus. There is no wrong way to do it.

On class night, come in and get comfortable. We hand out vessels and materials, then walk the group through building a terrarium layer by layer.

Do I need any experience to build a terrarium?
No. Our terrarium building class in Apex is made for first-timers. We walk you through every layer, from the drainage stone to the plants and moss on top, so you never have to guess. Most people are surprised how professional their terrarium looks by the end.
How much does the terrarium class cost and how long is it?
The class is $70 per person and runs about an hour. That covers your glass vessel, plants, soil, stone, moss, and hands-on help. You take your finished terrarium home the same night with nothing extra to buy.
How do I take care of my terrarium?
Terrariums are low-effort. Most want bright, indirect light and just a little water now and then, and closed styles need even less. We send you home knowing exactly how to care for the plants you chose so it keeps thriving.
Can I choose succulents or tropical plants?
Yes. You choose the look. Succulents and cactus make a dry, desert-style terrarium, while tropical plants and moss make a lush, green one. We help you pick plants that work well together and match the style you want.
